Meet Rick Rick is our Tennis Director and truly loves the sport of tennis. He has been named the USPTA New England Professional of the Year. He has coached juniors to over 300 national rankings and over 50 #1 New England rankings. USTA selected Rick as one of 11 coaches to lead a pilot program for Training Centers. Meet Ian Ian played the International Tennis Circuit from 1968-77 and achieved a top 50 world ranking. In 1972 Ian reached the 4th round at Wimbledon and the French Open. Ian’s knowledge of the game and competitive experience with his own kids sets him apart as a top Tennis Pro. “A big part of your tennis game is based on movement and endurance. Meet J J is a motivating swim coach. 35 years of experience working with kids backs up his thoughtful approach to coaching athletes and kids learning to swim. “Swimming is the best way I know to keep your body in shape and injury-free for any activity you want to do. When kids learn how to swim they are confident and that sets them up for so many life experiences. |

Meet Laura Laura is the Wellness and Partnership Director at Thoreau Club. She is a Certified Wellness Coach and guides individuals to create a personal wellness vision that is attainable. Laura has completed 7 Boston Marathons, several triathlons and is a Pilates enthusiast. "Everyone has the potential to be their best self. Meet Glenn Glenn is the Wellness Director at Thoreau Club. He has over 30 years experience in the fitness industry, a B.S. in Exercise Science and is an American Heart Associate CPR/AED instructor. "My life mission is to improve each person's quality of life through medically based exercise prescriptions and programming." |

Meet Kim Kim oversees Group Fitness at Thoreau. She holds certifications from ACE, Body Training Systems and Spinning and has been coaching fitness for 22 years. “Welcome to the party! Meet Amy Amy welcomes all new members and helps you get on a path to fitness that is achievable and rewarding. She is a mom of 2 young active girls, a group fitness instructor, a student of Small Group Training, and a tennis player. “I love helping members find new ways to get excited about fitness. Meet Susan Susan is the Head Pilates Instructor at Thoreau. She holds certifications from Stott Pilates for mat and reformer, and is trained in the Barre Method. Susan’s expansive knowledge of body movement comes from over 15 years of training students and continuing her own studies. “After incorporating the Pilates lifestyle, you will feel yourself getting stronger, more balanced, and you will walk with confidence & joy through life.” |

Meet Alessia Alessia is the Director of Camp Thoreau and the sizzle behind the camp’s buzzing energy. She adores nature and being with kids outside. Her background is in youth development and adventure education. Alessia is also a Teambuilding Facilitator for Project Adventure. “Camp teaches kids that collaboration is a more effective way to achieve success than competition. What matters is your willingness to cooperate in a group of peers, have fun, solve problems and care about people.” |
