Planet Thoreau
Thoreau Club’s first class facilities provide campers with an extensive array of activities, rain or shine in this half day program. Whether it is sports on our outdoor field, swimming in our beautiful pools and Splash Park, cooking, dance, music & arts and crafts. Also trips to Camp Thoreau where kids will have the opportunity to experience drama, archery, nature, Project Adventure and more.
Campers will never be bored at Planet Thoreau! Join us for Wacky Wednesdays - where campers and counselors dress up according to our wild and wacky themes.

Planet Thoreau ages 3-6
9am - drop off at playground for outdoor play
9:30 - Good Mornings!
9:45 - dance, music, or drama at On Your Toes or Nature at Camp Thoreau
10:30 - sporting games/craft time/cooking
11:15 - indoors for snack
11:30 - free play in the pool
12:30 - lunch/playground
1pm - pick up

Specialty Activities
If a full day of Planet Thoreau is not enough for your active child, we offer swim lessons after camp from 1:30-2:00pm. Our staff will transport your child to the lesson for you. Group & Private instruction are available. Contact Thoreau Swim for swim lesson questions.

Staff
Our 5 to 1 camper to staff ratio for the older kids and our 3 to1 ratio for the younger gives you peace of mind that your child(ren) are fully supervised. It is our goal to make every child feel welcome, safe and successful. All of the counselors and administrators and Planet Thoreau are carefully chosen for their leadership abilities, creativity and enthusiasm for working with children. They are college students, former Thoreau campers and year round Junior staff. Our staff members exhibit their commitment by sharing their kindness, understanding and diverse personal talents with the campers. They are fun, energetic and love being here with your children.
Policies and Procedures
All Planet Thoreau campers are required to submit a medical/immunization form from their Pediatrician at time of registration. This form is required in order for your child to participate in a camp. It is also mandated by Massachusetts State Law.
